Product update: Alpha testing is underway.
The Grow App is finished and is in alpha testing!
This is super exciting for us and has been a long time in the making. Manufacturing a product like the Grow Sensor takes work!
You're making a Swiss Army Knife; by that, we mean it has to do many things well compared to, say, a thermometer that just has to do one thing well.
Anyway, we’re alpha-testing the Grow App and Grow Sensor with our in-house team now, and things are going well.
We’re working through the bugs and refining the experience to be ready for beta testing soon.
Testing the completed App and sensor together in a real, controlled growing environment has been awesome. It’s shown us we’re onto something exceptional.
Having leaf surface temperature, CO2, VPD, EC, and water content sensors, in one time-series App is a game changer for quality and yield.
So much care and attention has gone into making the App truly easy to use for mobile devices, which is where most growers spend their time.
It looks incredible, is super fast and super intuitive to use.
Game changer for the home grower
As far as we’re concerned, it’s a game changer for growing and puts a fantastic tool into the hands of home growers at an affordable price.
But It’s not finished yet! To remind peeps, we are a self-funded, boot-strapped start-up. This is why getting this project off the ground has taken a while.
Next on our list is to turn our 3D-printed case into a production-ready injection moulded case. As soon as cash allows, it’s the next investment and is our last obstacle.
Then we’re on the home stretch.
We’ll launch the product towards the end of the year, with pre-orders opening in the autumn. So watch this space for that.
As mentioned above, this little sensor does a lot. It is extremely powerful, so over the coming weeks, we’ll dive into some of the Grow Sensor's essential features, the software, the hardware, and the future for the product.
Some of these topics might be pretty granular, but we want to show you how the Grow Sensor differs from the competition and why it’s been worth the wait.

Happy growing!
